No wonder many people might not know that the biggest league football of Nepal is going on, but it is sure that excitement is in its full flow in the heart of those who know about it. Who wins the league champion title is far of estimation right now as we are having a closed competition between the teams. The defending champion "Nabil Three Stars" is finding it hard to save their title, as MMC, Tribhuwan Army Club and MPC all are giving challenge to their expectations.Before the league takes a rest for dashain and tihar, MMC is enjoying the best position with 28 points in 10 games. Nabil Three Star is in second with 27 points in 10 matches, while Tribhuwan and MPC occupy the third and forth position with 24 and 21 points respectively. However they have played only 9 games in the league. The new sensation is the armed police force, playing with the name of Gyanendra Officers as they bet the defending champion in the very first encounter. As the game is played in double round basis, it is not easy to predict who will win..but it is sure that this is the most exciting tournament in the history of nepalese football. Police man come from the back to defeat MMC. Nigerian striker Daniyal Scored for MMC on Basanta's cross from right side. Police midfilder Raju Katuwal scored the head goal on Jumanu' cross from left side and Wining gola is scored by Ramesh. This win makes the police to reached in the top position fo the league table first time in the season with 33 points with only undefeated team in the league. Manamg had 32 points with second position, third place Three star had 31 points and fourth place Army had 28 points with each team left one game to play of the first league.
