EULA not available

Recommended Posts

I need to install windows xp from a hard drive partition. Here is how I currently have it set up.

C:\ -> Location to install windows xp (fat32) 20gb

D:\ -> Location to install windows xp from (fat32) 20 gb

I boot up using a windows 98 boot disk, change to drive D:\i386 and run winnt

Setup copies files to drive C: ($WIN_NT$.~BT, $WIN_NT.~LS....)

I reboot and setup continues until the screen where it says:

"Setup cannot find the End-User License Agreement (EULA). Setup will not continue"

Side note:

In txtsetup.sif SetupSourcePath="\"

I have read a lot about this problem and can't figure it out. Hopefully its something easy that I missed somewhere.

Thanks

What do you mean installing XP by dos? It has 2 mode of installation

1. text mode ( I assume you are saying this DOS)

2. Graphic mode. which automatically happens after text based installation.

Why are you using FAT32 in the first place?why not NTFS ??

Why are you using DOS to make it partition when windows can automatically( OR manually ) be partitioned.

Are you sure you have a valid XP CD? Is that copied? It could be not copied properly.

Are you intending to make dual boot system...? There is no reason to use 98 setup disk whatsoever.

Tell us clearly.....

1. Do you want single or dual boot?

2. What do you want to do?

I think he first need to install windows, to be able to partition HD using windows, that is where he is struggling.

yea, possible reason, like rajunpl already said above, could be corrupted CD. try using different CD. EULA is End User Licenc Agreement, which is text file but vital to install windows.
