Joy 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2004 As per the information provided by ANFA Spokesman Lalit Krishna Shrestha to SoccerAgeNepal, Manang Marsyangdi Club (MMC) left for Bhutan on Saturday 25 Sept. 2004 to take part in King’s CUP Football Tournament. Eight teams are participating in the tournament (formerly known as the Federation Cup) including teams from Thailand, South Korea, Bangladesh, Nepal, and India. South Korea, IMTRAT, Manang Marsyangdi Club (Nepal) and Bangladesh are in Group A while Thimphu XI, Thailand, Kolkata Customs and Sikkim have been pooled in Group B. MMC will play their first match on 27 Sept. 2004. The team which left for Bhutan contains following players and the officials. Players - Kumar Thapa, Binod Dongol (GK), Sachin Shrestha, Tashi Tsering, Rajesh Khadgi (Shahi), Basanta Thapa, Basanta Gauchan, Navin Neupane, Umesh Upreti, Sagar Thapa, Rajendra Tamang, Anil K. Limbu (Subba), Khum Gurung, Rajan Rayamajhi, Madhu Karki, Dillip Chettri (GK), Hari Khadka, Sanjay Gurung, Anil Gurung, Prasant Giri. Coach – Chhiring Lopsang Team Managers – Kapli Gurung & Wangdel Gurung. Nepalese team lost against the BEC Tero Sasana football club of Thailand in the last Federation Cup tournament finals in Tie-Breaker in Thimphu in 2002 .
