Ethical hackers are hired to break into company's network or application or Web servers, and report what they find. For example...when i am done running and configuring web server in my machine and setting up firewall to route thru my internal computers, and done setting up encryption etc etc, i am gonna ask Mr Hacker ( Rapunjl) to see if he can penetrate inside my network.
