love_united 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2004 BEST BATSMAN Definately Sachin Tendulkar And Ricky Ponting BEST BOWLER Shane bond and Muralitharan BEST WICKETKEEPER Adam gilchrist and Rahul Dravid BEST FIELDER Yubraj Singh BEST TEAM Australia 64373 Good to see your selection, soulfly. But I am surprised to see Rahul Dravid as your best wicketkeeper.I hope you like it more because of his batting, not due to his wicketkeeping.Yubraj Singh is the better choice,he is the amazing fielder. But I prefer Mohammad Kaif....he is the awesome fielder. It's unfortunate we cannot see Shane Bond in action these days.I think his injury is serious. L_U your and mines player matches a bit yar haina ra ? 64374 Yeah, that's right.May be we have the same style of looking at the players. Dear dude_yog, I understand your feeling, there are lots of games being played in this era but see the impact of one day cricket, most of the test matches end with results.Test matches worth watching like one day. Now batsmen don't want to spend on the pitch without scoring a run.Nathan Astle has scored his double century in just 150 balls.Players like Adam Gilchrist,Virendra Sehwag have the strike rate over 90 in many matches. Now,the match finishes before 5th day.Thanx to one day cricket.Do you still think it's boring to watch test cricket?I don't think so!!! for me my dream player r batsman: sunil gavaskar(with height of 5.5 he faces ball without halmet when there was no condition in bouncers n played against most dangerous bowler of all times) sachin tendulkar(from 1992-1998) he was my best batsman. bowler: waseem akram(unmatchable bowler n good human in real life) best feilder: jonty rohdes, now ricky ponting. best alrounder:vivian richardsan...i cant rember anyother beside him. best comentartor: (navjot sidhu. but undeciplined) best team: west indies in seventies/eighties(gerry sobers, richerd hedly, vivan richardsan.clive loyad, malcom marshal) best wicket keeper:moin khan.(.longet dive while delivering akarm, waqar) all time idol sunil gavaskar, vivian richardsan, wasim akranm, sachin 64433 Your choice consists of mixture of both past and present players.I had watched some classic matches of Sunil Gavaskar. He was really a great player.I read about Viv Richards,he was better than Sachin Tendulkar at his time.See his records, that is awesome. However,I want you to know that Richard Hadley is not from WI,he is the allrounder of Newzealand team. What about this Guys? 64474 My friend,Dave. That quote was made many years ago when only the test matches used to be played. Obviously,if you watched the cricket for 5 days and the match got draw, then your reaction would be same as the one who made that quote. But now the thing has changed. This is the time of instant cricket. One day cricket is the most popular form of cricket where there is alwasy a result, and you will love to see draws too. The impact can also be seen in the test crickets. Now test crickets hardly gets draw. If you don't have much time ,then 20-20 cricket or "super six" cricket can be your choice.
