Changing definitions of Nepal


A couple of days ago I saw one of my friends tagged in the Facebook image included here. It reminded me of another of such definitions of Nepal that was very popular when I was growing up in the late 80s and early 90s.


Nepal, then, stood for N-Never, E-Ending, P-Peace, A-And, L-Love.


I think it is really interesting how the definition of Nepal has changed over time. Back then, Nepal used to be known as the land of peace. Nowadays, it has become the land of darkness.


The definition, sadly but truly, reflects the current situation of Nepal.
