Wish to know how tough IELTS is. A preview is available somewhere?

Never had IELT. I think hearing part is tough as many of us are confuse with accent.

IELTS is not so tough, you need some practice, thats all. I had IELTS test in 2000, only with one week practice and result was not bad. You can find many CDs on IELTS.

Thanks for the feedback. I've applied for migration and awaiting confirmation. Once I get green signal I gotta prepare myself for this test. Hope I will get through this.

Hello Maun,

IELTS is comparatively easier than that of TOEFL and excludes vocabulary section like that of TOEFL. It might not take more than a month for you to prepare for the test, you can start right after you register for test date which is generally available at a gap of one or two months from the time of your registration. According to my experience, it will be better if you take membership of council library and be a regular reader and practice on your own. However, you can even take an IELTS preparation course over there if you don't like the idea of self-study.
