  1. Yes Saildai, it did happen to me. He didn’t look at my papers that is different issue, they even didn’t keep photocopy of my papers. I have been to USA I can prove that, and US Embassy have no my document in their file apart from my passport photocopy. That’s sounds unbelievable, but that is the truth. I think I am not the only one; there are few people who got VISA like me in and around 1998 when David was Counsellor. Don’t think otherwise, I didn’t pay money for that. I just pop up there suddenly without any plan. It sounds like you are not Saildai, but SailoBhai . Because, in and around 1998, there was US VISA counsellor called David, he was popular in Nepal for many reason. If you were Saildai, you should know this, so I think you are Bhai . He (David) used to speak very good Nepali. In one occasion, some guys stabbed him in Thamel (said to be Manange guys who didn't get VISA), after that there was big row whether American VISA section will move to Delhi like Australian did. They closed Visa section for 3 months and reopen.
  2. Yadav Bhai, there is nothing wrong in your answer. Jhilke is Allare's friend, thats the reason you didn't get job.
  3. QUOTE Applying for a visa to the UK is relatively easy compared to Aus and US, it is only because the embassy does not require as many documents as other countries do Santos, either you were lucky enough to have UK VISA without hassle, or I was unlucky enough to have too much hassle when I applied for UK VISA. For me, UK became really tough compare to USA. I did get US visa without providing any document. I paid VISA Fee from Himalayan Bank, and went for Interview in US Embassy; first part was to submit VISA form and passport along with proof of payment for visa fee. After submitting these three documents, I waited for Interview. After 5 PM I was called for Interview, guy called David was my interviewer. He asked few question in Nepali and final question was "do you have any supporting document?", I said "Yes" and I tried to take document out from my file, he said "Thik chha, ma tapailai VISA dinchhu.” I was very much surprised. Hope I had to get VISA was very low, getting VISA without looking at any paper was just unbelievable to me. Though it was true, I been to USA in July 1998. Now lets talk about UK, I was failed 4th times continuously. In 5th Interview, I got VISA to UK, the duration between my first interview and last (5th) interview was 14 months. If we talk about document, I submitted many document in UK embassy, all genuine and I consider as very powerful too, but I was failed. As per Australia, I have no idea what is the process now, but there was no such interview process since Australian counsellor moved to Delhi from Kathmandu. All students must have IELT passed, and contact college and get pre-registration letter, send that pre-registration letter with passport to Australian Embassy in Delhi, get Pre-VISA, and send that to College with one years full or half fee, and get full registration letter, send that full registration with passport to Australian Embassy to Delhi, and get full VISA. Of course, they need some supporting document such as whether students can afford to study in Australia or not specially bank balance. That is what I know. Things could have been changed recently. I am unaware of that.

  8. QUOTE (E major @ May 13 2003, 09:11 AM) You got the point jhilke, Defination of things change according to environment. When Madhuri Dixit said "Nepal is a state of India", it was just a silly mistake for her fan of Nepal, it was true for indians, it was political propoganda for politicians, it was shame for me, I don't know what it is for you.... In practical, E Majors view is the fact. In real, it should be like this : QUOTE In my opinion, only one person can be the first one, so probably it was decided on the basis who stepped first at the peak of the world. Even a second can make a difference. Take an example of the moon. Neil Armstrong was with a fellow scientist (i forgot his name), but he stepped first on the moon, followed by the other guy, but only his name is marked in history. (A giant leap for mankind) could it have been the same in scaling the of mount everest????? In my view, first person to reach Mt Everest was Nepali citizen Tenzin Sherpa. When he conquers Mt Everest, he was holding Nepali citizenship. So honour of who was the first person to reach on the top goes to Nepal which cannot be bought or sell by money. India offered Tenzing with much better facility than Nepal in later date and Tenzing accepted Indian Citizenship to maintain his life style, that doesn’t mean he can transfer credit from one country to another. That will destabilise any kind of World Record. As per who was first whether Tenzin or Admon, for many reason, it was again Nepali, Tenzin Sherpa. Tenzin was guide who walked on the front and Admon followed the path. So who reach the top is very clear. But we recognise both of them as equal creditor to reach top of the world unlike Neil Armstrong’s case, it was because, Tenzing and Admond were from different country, and main person who was register in official record to climb Mt Everest was Admond Hilary. I think that is the reason they both share equal credit and we all have to agree with that knowing the fact that if Admond would not be there, Tenzing could not afford to climb of Everest.
  9. Thanx for all help. I am calling my ISP now because I dont have A record on my control panel.
  10. Himal Jee, how do we add domain to own IP? I also have static IP at home, and would like to redirect the domain to my computer which is currently hosted somewhere. Don't I have to request ISP to update their DNS record so that if someone request for my domain, it will be redirect to my current IP? What is easy way? Thanx himal jee in advance.

  16. Dear Sanskar, It looks like you didn’t understand politics. Let me tell you frankly, there are many justifications for war. Let me explain to you now: Saddam has Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD) If Iraq has no WMD, and US didn’t manage to bring WMD from US to Iraq to show the world telling they found WMD somewhere in desert, then there is another justification for war which is: Saddam support terrorism As it appear Saddam and Bin Laden were enemy for long, and it is almost impossible this will prove, so in that case, there is another justification for war that is Saddam didn’t comply with UN inspector As US is 100% sure that Saddam is not going to help UN by providing the information of WMD which Iraq do not have. Even if Rest of the world said Iraq is doing right, there is another justification for war Saddam is threat to Arab neighbour if all Arab say that is not true then there is another justification for war We just can’t see this nationalist sitting on so much oil resources that US need. And if majority of US people support Bush to attack Iraq, and top of that International Community AKA UK support USA, why late? Attack Iraq and bring oil home for free. Might is Right, that is the biggest justification of war. So there is every reason why US should attack not only Iraq, but Iran and Syria too. Long Live USA, Long Live CIA and Long Live ex CIA Agent Bin Laden.

  20. Hi Manandhar, Yes, that number is premium, but premium doesn’t mean all number is £1 a minute. Some of the number even charge £1.50 a minute, it depends what they setup to charge. I spoke to British Telecom to ask whether the claim of 5 P a minute is true. BT said all premium numbers are control by number owner and they have right to price how much they want to charge for their caller. What appear is, they will, as promotion, leave 5 P a minute for next few days and will increase their price up to 15 or 20 P a minute. Honestly, I posted here as soon as I knew about it, to share the benefit with all other Nepalese. But when I called couple of my friends and near one to tell them about it, they said “Dhatta Lata, taile balla taha pais mora? Hamile ta last two week dekhi nai yehi number use garera Nepal phone garne gareko chhau.” So it was spread among the Nepalese community like “Shhhh, I am telling only for you, don’t tell anyone ok?”. One guy said, some of his friend has taken day off to call all their relatives in Nepal, before price go up. Be Caution, we don’t know exact price until we receive telephone bill.
