so far I know, names are carefully selected by nakkalee. I admire nakkalee's capacity for judgemenet. only thing made me bit surprise was my name on list, twice. does that mean I am getting two medal? 4 yrs? but you registered here on end of 2003. was you guest before that? -
A blonde was speeding in a 30 mile per hour zone when a local police cruiser pulled her over and walked up to the car. The police officer also happened to be a blonde and she asked for her driving license. The driver searched frantically in her purse for a while and finally said to the blonde policewoman, "What does a driver's license look like?" Irritated, the blonde cop said "You dummy, it's got your picture on it!" The blonde frantically searched her purse again and found a small rectangular mirror down at the bottom. She held it up to her face and said, "Aha! This must be my driver's license" and handed it to the blonde policewoman. The blonde cop looked in the mirror, handed it back to the driver and said, "You're free to go. And, if I had known you were a police officer too, we could have avoided all this hassle."

Actually Aiming Higher is open to all students enrolled on A'level programmes in FE Colleges in the UK. Priority will be given to students who: . Will be the first generation in their families to attend university; . Have parents in non-occupational backgrounds; . Attend colleges with little history of sending students to Cambridge; . Attend Colleges with the low overall A'level point score; Actually its main purpose is too get young students inside the Cambridge (before they make any decisions for which university they want to go to) to let them see the environment of Cambridge or Oxford universities because most student who are doing A'levels think that life in Cambridge is very difficult and they can not adopt it and they do not want to lose their freedom and thats why most student are choosing to go to normal universities so they can enjoy and study as well. Since few years the numbers of students who apply for Cambride or Oxford universities are getting less. Therefore they want to give students a chance to see hows life in Cambridge. Yes may be that will help you to know about if there are any scholarship places: There is an opportunity to attend either the Arts Open Day or Science Open Day held on 3 July 2003. You can just go there on the above date, (3 July 2003). At morning time a spend a day there and you can talk to the teachers about your quiries I am sure they would be happy to help you.

I forgot to tell that it will start on Sunday 29 June 2003 and finish onFriday 4 July 2003. Up to 60 places are available and students will choose to follow a course in Arts/Humanities(30 places) or Science/Technology (30 places).

The First Aiming Higher summer school was run in july 2002, with students attending from FE colleges around the UK, funded by the Sutton Trust. In 2003 there will be another opportunity to explore what university can offer at a summer school taking place in July, with funding from Sutton Trust and Cambridge University. Aiming Higher is an important part of Cambridge University's efforts to widen participation in HE and, more specifically, to widen access to Cambridge from FE.
