  1. Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was

    really pissed.

She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the

driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!"

The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke

up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box

gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.

Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought

the box back in the house.

She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.

Bob has been missing since Friday.

  2. When I watch a movie, I have a personal checklist that I use to rate the movie. I rate a movie based on its protagonist, antagonist, character development, plot, and acting. Protagonist The main group of protagonist characters are the "Joes," the main one being Duke (Channing Tatum). Duke is a normal American soldier that is charged with the mission of protecting a convoy of state of the art nano missile warheads. Of course, the convoy goes bad and is attacked by a futuristic hovercraft that destroys two helicopters and three armored hummers. Channing Tatum's acting in this scene and the previous scene and the very next scene is absolutely horrible. His whole "I'm a soldier because I want to shoot up the bad guys" demeanor was very childish and it was obvious that they were trying to cater to a young crowd obsessed with killing and explosions.

Channing was acting for the movie instead of acting how a soldier in his position should be acting when he is confronted with a superior officer and a squad of superior soldiers. Antagonist The antagonists are even more goofy than the protagonist. Soldiers in body armor that can repel .50 cal bullets, complete with impenetrable skull helmets and "alien" type weapons. In the movie, the two biggest antagonists that you actually see are Storm Shadow (Byung-Hun Lee) and Anna/Baroness (Sienna Miller), a ninja and a woman in tight clothes that has a plasma pistol with more power than a rocket launcher. The overbearing CGI did not help to make believable these obviously rediculous characters. In reference to the ninjas, Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, does being trained in a dojo somewhere in Asia mean that when you're an adult you can run as fast as a car and do "the matrix" to dodge explosions and flying cars? The antagonist crew comes complete with a mad scientist (Cobra) who has no end to ideas of torturing people for "research." (Nazi regime anyone?) What I believe to be the biggest failure of the movie was the antagonists.

  5. Ok so i finish my HND next week and i was in a Print shop today getting my final designs done for a show. So im talking to the printer guy and he asks me about doing some work for him.

I tought great, i have no real world exp, so this is perfect.

Ok so i ask him, "what sort of work". He relpys, "just some take away menus, and a business card here and there. So i was like, "well yea, il clean floors if you want".

Then he talks money, well for a menu, which he reckons will take about 5 hours max, would be the same as 2 hours work in McDonalds, and the business cards even less.

So now i am dumfounded but still intrested in the work "slave labour" because i have no real world exp and it will give me contacts to build on.

If you were in the same postion, would you do the work and not worry that its paying buttons?

  7. Hi all,

We have VPN site to Site connection. Each site has an separate Domain Controller server with Windows 2003 OS. We don't want enable all services from site to site VPN but should allow remote Desktop connections and access to Network File shares across sites.

Please guide me on what services and protocols I have to add in our firewall so that the above services alone will run.

    Thanks in advance.

My avira detects this as malwares.

I dont know where is the origin of these files. I simply delete them.

I have other laptops currently connected to my laptop while surfing the net. But i have disabled file sharing and public folder sharing, and turned on password protected sharing from network & sharing centre.

  10. Hi,

If I set a rule in Outlook 2003 to forward all messages from that account to another Outlook account, is there an option to also keep those messages within the original mailbox?

Also, will the Inbox that's recieving the forwarded messages indicate that they're from the forwarding account?

  13. Medicine is not challenging. Medicine is not fun. Medicine is not exciting. These opinions may or not be mine and you can agree or disagree with them if you want, but my point is that they should be not used as an arguement in this case. I wouldn't want a doctor that cares more about how fun a surgical procedure is than my life on the line and neither should you.

People who choose medicine as a course are cowards. There are few people deserving of the education given in my eyes and these are the people that I admire and respect to no end. How many people reading this I wonder are considering or even hold places in medical school merely because they grew up in a family full of healthcare professionals and it was expected of them? How many recieved excellent science grades and chose medicine not because they truly wanted to do it, but because it was seen as the most ambitious option. Don't know what to do with your life? Choose medicine. Medicine is the easy way out. Compared to studying another course at university its like riding a train to a set destination compared to being a plane pilot with a million runways to land on. A scary thought for many people is not knowing what will become of their lives. A medical degree offers an easy solution.

When we get into medical school, we like to pretend that the work is difficult, that we're working all the time, that we're struggling to make ends meet, but you know what? Most of us aren't. Of course there are a few people who geniunely find the work difficult, can't cope with the financial side of things and can't find time to destress. But they're the minority. We like to pretend we've got it hard. We like to act as if we haven't been given a life and career that will ensure security through life in the upper bracket of society. Almost like we feel guilty and that we don't deserve the opportunity. Some of us don't. The filtering process involved lets people who in my opinion are unsuited to medicine through whilst some of the most intelligent and caring people are cast aside.

Other than ease, what draws people to medicine then? Power? Maybe. Respect? Maybe. Money? Maybe. Caring about people? No. If I was to rank where caring about actual patients and people came into people's decisions to choose medicine as a career I'd place it pretty low. More important to them is the appearance of caring about people. I have no respect for a lot of GPs. People who want to go into general practice are most likely to be guilty of offending my sensitive sense of righteousness. I'm not saying that all GPs are horrible people, or indeed that any of them are. Some of them chose medicine and general practice for noble and honerable reasons and I salute these men and women as they are truly pillars of society. I don't want to be a general practitioner, but I can think of a few amazing reasons as to why it did tempt me.

In medicine, you see people go in and out of your clinic. You see so many people everyday. I can imagine how after a while you stop seeing them as people and just see them as diseases to treat. In general practice, you get to see families grow. You be there when a new family is started, and have to be there when the time comes to write the death certificate. Supporting and watching a family grow would be such a rewarding experience. Almost like you're a part of that family. Call my reason stupid and naiive if you want. To me I can think of no better reason to want to be a GP.

The reasons why people choose to be a GP these days are simple. Money and good working hours. Sure, thats fine you say. Why not? Everyone needs a life. Everyone does need a life, but to some people being a GP would make their life, would be their life. Denying these people their opportunities are the people who want to coast through gaining as much respect and money for as little work as possible.

We're told that saying that caring about people is the wrong thing to say in the interview. I argue that it is the only thing that I would require a candidate to truly feel in their heart once they have gained the chance to get into a medical school.

I'm asking you now. Honestly, Why do you want to study medicine? I'm not going to deter you from your choice, whatever you say. But don't lie to yourself.

A FIREMAN came home from work one day and told his wife, 'You know, we have a wonderful system at

the fire station: BELL 1 rings and we all put on our jackets, BELL 2 rings and we all slide down the pole,

BELL 3 rings and we're on the fire truck ready to go.

'From now on when I say BELL 1' I want you to strip naked. When I say BELL 2 I want you to jump in bed.

And when I say BELL 3 We are going to make love all night. ' The next night he came home from work and yelled

' BELL 1!' The wife promptly took all her clothes off.

When he yelled 'BELL 2!', the wife jumped into bed. When he yelled 'BELL 3!', they began making love.

After a few minutes the wife yelled 'BELL 4!' 'What the hell is BELL 4?' asked the husband?

'ROLL OUT MORE HOSE,' she replied

  16. Top seed Rafael Nadal overcame fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco 6-3 6-3 at the Rome Masters on Friday while Roger Federer beat German qualifier Mischa Zverev 7-6 6-2 to book a semi-final with holder Novak Djokovic.

Serb Djokovic eased through with a 6-3 6-4 triumph over Argentine fifth seed Juan Martin Del Potro.

Nadal next faces Chilean 12th seed Fernando Gonzalez, a 2-6 6-3 6-4 winner over Argentine qualifier Juan Monaco.

Sixth seed Verdasco, who pushed Nadal hard in a five-setter at this year's Australian Open, was on level terms after an exchange of breaks in the first two games.

The world number one over-hit a number of shots but could not be budged off his serve again, pulling off a couple of sublime lobs as he found his rhythm to take the first set.

It was tight in the second set too until the eighth game when Nadal broke again after Verdasco hit an easy backhand volley wide at the net.

"I didn't play my best," Nadal told a news conference after he had saved five break points in the second set.

"I made some mistakes especially in the second set. I was a little bit lucky (because) he made mistakes on some important points."

Zverev, 21, gave Federer a good fight in the opening set.

The German served superbly, attacked the net well and showed character to save two break and set points in the 10th game, which was interrupted for a few minutes when a spectator was taken ill.

Zverev was unable to trouble the second seed on his serve, however, and Federer eventually took the set 7-3 on a tiebreak with a splendid cross-court forehand pass.

Federer cruised home in the second although Zverev had the satisfaction of saving two match points before going out.

"That was a good test," said the Swiss. "I had to come up with some passing shots. It's always good when you're on the back foot and you have to come up with some good shots at the right time.

"Seems like he's a talented player. I think he's got potential and he showed it this week."

  17. Hope

    To become
    What we can not be
    For all those
    Who have belived
    Have forgoten what it feels
    To be free
    A hope from within
That can always crush the weak of heart
    For this is me
    And it wishes it upon
    No one else
    This false hope of mine

The false hope is all it is
    For things
    Or just for one
    Who knows what it is
    This false hope of mine
Even I am lost in this confusing
    For what is hope
    If nothing can inspire
    That dream to grow
    Grow into reality
    From the tips of
    All that is

    All that is
Is all it will ever be
As long as this hope remains false
A false hope will hold us back
    We must inspire
    And be inspired
    To make these hopes grow
    To grow into the future
